Ingredients

Scale

two ounces of gin

a few super juicy exceptional tomatoes

1/2 ounce basil simple syrup (I like Food 52’s recipe)

3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

Instructions

1. Grate the delicious tomatoes over a bowl.  Strain the watery parts out, leaving approximately a cup of  the chunky bits.  Add the meaty parts to a lidded container, like a mason jar, with the 2 ounce of gin.

2. Add ice to a shaker or mixing glass, followed with lime juice, simple syrup. Give the mason jar a good shake, strain out the 2 ounces of gin and add to the shaker/mixing glass.

3. Pour into a coupe.  Garnish with basil, a cherry tomato or thinly sliced lime.  What ever looks pretty and amusing.
